Process for Diagnosing & Treating ADD/ADHD
Please print out the NICHQ Vanderbilt Initial Assessments at the link below.
Have all teachers, parents or guardians fill out the corresponding questionnaire (teacher vs. parent informant) prior to the initial appointment with Dr. Ping. Dropping these completed assessments off at the office before the scheduled visit can be helpful for the doctor to review results ahead of time and be prepared to discuss findings. If this is not possible, please bring them to the appointment for Dr. Ping to review at that time.
Treatment options include lifestyle/behavior modification strategies, counseling, stimulant medications or non-stimulant medications.
